Gary and Nancy Thompson have worked one week a year at Horton Haven since 1982. Gary is a retired Nashville Metro Police K-9 Sergeant and dog trainer. Nancy is a former elementary school teacher. They attend the Gospel Chapel in Nashville, TN. They have two grown and married children and 4 grandchildren. Their children both were campers at Horton Haven every year, and were staff members as teenagers. They both feel that the ministry of Horton Haven made a huge impact in the lives of their children, and in their own lives. They look forward to serving the Lord at camp, and are excited that their grandchildren are almost old enough to be campers.
